Hungry

Hungry hungry hungry.... I'm very hungry now. I would like a Chinese noodles soup or some creamy pasta right now. I can cook and eat them, if I were minded to do so, but I am on a diet (again....lol). This Summer I would love to go to beach and drink beer there. Having camp is good too, and I would love to go to Kumagawa to try rafting!! In all of the situations, I will wear swim suits, it is not necessary, but having fun wearing swim suits is sounds better!! I want to be much uch more skiny.... no, I have to be skinny!! Mmmmmmmm.... I am not sure I will have endured till this summer or not. I hope so.

Snow boarding

One of my hobby is snow boarding. When I was in Canada I tried snow boarding, it was my first time. This winter I woul'd love to go snow boarding, but recently, I have costed much money for job hunting, so I don't have enough money for going snow boarding. That is too bad. Some of my friends have been to ski run many times already. I envy them.... I have given up going to ski run this season. I will have good time at bars, at clubs, at parties, instead of snow boarding. I believe it will make me get know a lot of new friends. I hope a new BF would be in them.lol

Granma came to visit with a present for a girl. A girl tried to guess what inside is. The inside is not dog, not cat not bird.... Finally she wrap the box, a rabbit is showed up. She was really happy.

I like a story kind of this one. Good surprise makes people happy. When I was in Canada, on my birthday, one of my friends asked me to look for her new room together. I and she visited a big apartment, and entered one room. I could find other friens there, so they hold a surprise party for my birthday. I was very glad. I will not forget the day!!

Do you have any interest hobbies? In this book, some soooooooooo special interest hobbies are introduced. Forexample, Twister Chasing, UFO Watching, Trainspotting, etc. The most interesting one for me is UFO Watchiong!! Have you ever witnessed UFO? Do you believe being of UFO and alien or little green man? I have never witnessed all of them of course.lol And also, I guess ti is very difficult to prove that being csientifically, but I would like to believe those are exist. Because it is much fun than lead an easy life. One of my friends told me she has seen a UFO in Australia about 3 years ago. She was driving mountain path with her friends, the mountain was kind of power spot. While driving the path, some wrird thing were happend. On the way, that was a straight road, they saw a pub many times, but all of the pubs looked same. Yes, originally, there is only one pub the wayside. And just about same time, they saw kind of a flush light. A watch of the car stopped and a audio broke. One of her friend got mad and hysterics. She went on to drive praying 'Please let us back' for a while. Ultimetely, they could bake home town, but few day later, they tried to check some photos and animation in her digital camera, all of those have died.... What do think? She believes that was a definitely UFO. I can' t really believe that, but if I can see UFO, I would love to see also little green man at the same time!!

What a beautiful day today! ....but I didn't have anything to do.
I thought that staying home and chilling by myself is definitely just wasting the time, so I decided that I go to the downtown to find out something interesting. I grabbed the key of my sweet car and jumped in it. As turning the engine on, my baby sings like Alicia Keys who I love the most in this world. I just couldn't stop loving you. When I was on my way to downtown, the road is very crowded. Start, stop, start ,stop, it seems like it never done. It got me really sick because it takes very long time but I took few miles away from my house. When I was looking out of the window, I found out one guy who is really good looking guy! I couldn't help starring at him for a second.lol I was stopping so the car behind me beeped on me. What a mean guy she is! I wished on the sun that somebody get her .... rest in peace. After I came through the area the is very crowded, there were few cars in my sight on the street to downtown. I couldn't complain till the end of the drive to downtown. I finally got downtown that makes me feel better, inspired and brand new. Do you know that one of my hobby is getting DVD like sick collector so first thing first, I decided that I am going to go to store named Tower Record that selling CDs and DVDs. I went to strait to the area for DVDs. My favorite movie era is around 80's to 90's. When I was checking up the shelves loaded by many kinds of DVDs, one movie package got me stop to do it. That is my one of the favorite one and I don't have it. I know You want me to tell you the name of the movie ha ha. OK are you ready to hear the name of the movie? The name is ............ drum line ........... "Kaze no Tani no Nausika." I know you want to punch me now because I took long time to tell you the name of the movie and it is NOT BIG TITLE!!!!!lol I feel you but I really love it. You can't blame it to me!! And there is one more thing that I want to tell you why the DVD is so nice to me. The DVD got four disks in it and there are 11 movies those are directed by same director as " Kaze no Tani no Nausika"also it is only for six thousand yen!! Wow what a greeeeaaaaat deal it is!! Don't you think so?lol I know that I don't need to tell you that the director is really my favorite one but I told... because I just couldn't!!! hummmm....when I tell someone this story, it is so tough keeping myself stay chill. Do you know what I am saying? As you already know, this is the story of how I met this precious DVD box set.

I would like to introduce one of my favorite song, tring to transtale its lyric to English. The song is sung by "BUMP OF CHICKEN", sold on march 2000.

One weekend there was a black cat that was walking majestically on the avenue. The people hated the cat by virtue of his grim appearance and they threw stoned at the cat. Suddenly, a strange painter came up from goodness knows where. The sat was picked up by the painter. "Hello tiny cat. We are similar." Immediately, the cat pawed the painter's arm and ran away. Because the cat could not really believe his kindness, but the painter followed the cat all the way.

Then the cat passed a winter with the painter. The cat has named "Holy night" by the painter. The cat was very pleased at naming such a good name and wanted to be petted all the time.

However unfortunately the painter was illed in bed.

The painter wrote a letter to his lover in his home town, and he said " Please take it to my lover. She is waiting for me to come back."

The cat ran and ran and ran....

At length the cat got to the painter's home town. There was the painter's lover. She read the letter from the painter, then she buried the cat that no move no more.

She added a letter "k" to the cat's name, so she buried "Holy knight".

I wanted to introduce Japanese comedian!!

Egashira 2:50 is a Japanese comedian born on July 1, 1965 whose home town is Chiyoda, Saga Prefecture. His blood type is B, nickname is "Ega-chan" .
A 2005 Oricon poll named him as the most annoying comedian in Japan because of his obscene and vulgar comedic style. His performance heavily relies on shock value, much like that of GG Allin and the cast of Jackass.
Contrary to this image as an annoying, shocking performer, it has been remarked on shows that he is extremely polite and humble when the camera is not rolling. He is known for extremely good manners when dealing with TV staff, which may be part of why he is still on TV. Additionally, his frequent co-stars Yusuke Santamaria, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi and Ninety-Nine etc. are declared fans of Egashira.

Mg weds

One of my friends, Megumi got married last month. We got to know in University. We belonged to different departments and also belonged to defferent circles. We don't really remember how we got to know each other. Maybe by chance.
The wedding reception was held at Tamahime-den. It is located in Yoyasu. The day before wedding reception, Meg phoned me and asked me to be a receptionist with her friend, because a person who would be a receptionist had cought a flu. Of cource I consented her favor.

On the day, We enterd a ceremonial hall much much earlier than guests and wait them. Almost one hour later, we moved to chapel to attend a ceremony. When a bride enterd a hall of the chapel, I could not hold back the tears. I was really glad to see the moment. She was very beautiful.

After the ceremony, a wedding reception was held. That was very wonderful reception.

The customers are people who live around great Vancouver. In addition, 82% of consumer tends to get information from more than one media source.
●Competitor
Competitors would be fast food restaurants and any other Japanese restaurants in great Vancouver. Especially fast food restaurants probably will be great competitor such as McDonald and Tim Horton’s. They are doing a lot of promotion and using a pile of promotion mix.
●Company
Our slogans are “Fast, cheap, and delicious.” and “Yoshinoya of the taste as beef bowl is kept for 80 years” consistently. Our products also follow these slogans. Promotions of Yoshinoya are launched as advertising of newspaper and TV commercial, billboard which is orange one, character for campaign and so on. In September 2007, Yoshinoya appointed Hideki Matsui who is 4th batter of New York Yankees by a TV commercial. Besides, the name of Yoshinoya is appointed comic books, TV show, video games and songs as product placement.

●Market and Environment
Today, it is said that people are interested in healthy issues, but a lot of people cannot have well-balanced diet. For example, over one-quarter of Canadians aged 31 to 50 get more than 35% of their total calories from fat, and Seven out of 10 children aged four to eight, and half of adults, do not eat the recommended daily minimum of five servings of vegetables and fruit. The people prefer to have fast food notwithstanding their caring own health.

Promotion objectives
Our promotion plan is divided by three periods such as prior to launching, around launching and subsequently to launching. In first period, awareness of Yoshinoya will be gained to make customer to realize that our products are good and healthy. Then, brand image will be built up and brand awareness will be also kept on popularizing to make customer to try our products at the second period. Our target audience is divided into three groups such as international students, Asian immigrants and local Canadian; besides; it is divided between existing and potential customers by the term of promotion. International students, especially Asian international students might have already known our products, so they will be able to recognize our brand. Asian immigrants also might recognize ours. Local Canadians should be seemed that they do not know Yoshinoya. Existing and potential customers are divided by the same way like international students, Asian immigrants and local Canadians. A difference between international students and Asian immigrants is media habit. Asian immigrants have newspaper of their mother language, but international students do not know that there are even newspapers of their mother language in Vancouver.

Promotion mix decisions and Implementation
Three objectives occur by dividing the time into three (before launching, launching, after launching). That’s why in order to accomplish each goal, different promotion tools should be used in each period. Even if same strategy is used, it is different contents. And then, our target audience are international student, immigrant and local Canadian. In order to influence each their attitude and behavior, target audience was divided into two groups which are international students and others. And, different tools should be used for each audience. Main tools are advertising, sales promotion and public relation to cover each objectives.

●Advertising
Advertising can deliver information to large number of people and takes advantage of it to create brand identity and awareness. There are quite a lot of media tools. In order to accomplish our goal, next media tools were chosen.

Local Television; Television has weaknesses such as high cost and high clutter. However, even if it has that, television can offer message to a lot of consumers once. As a result, television is one of the significant and essential tools. This tool will be started before two months of launching. The objective is to build up brand identity in this term. As launching come, it is better to increase frequency gradually so as to influence audience with low cost. At the time of just before launching and launching, it is done most frequently. In terms of after launching, it is taken every other month. This is because to prevent get into a rut. And after launching, its objective is not only to build up brand awareness but also to maintain existing customers and to build up brand image.

Radio; In terms of radio, there are various kinds of program. So, it is very flexible medium and can emphasize on specific target audience. Moreover, its good point is cost. If it compares to television, it is more reasonable. In the case of radio, our target audience is local Canadian and immigrant. Especially, it is young office workers and students. So, it is effective to broadcast not only evening time but also at a late hour because they tend to be up until midnight. The time to perform it is same as television because its objective is also to create name identity.

Newspaper; Newspaper can localize. So, it is a good tool to inform the person living in Vancouver. In Vancouver, there are newspapers of each language. It let it possible to put an advertisement for each target audience. Basically, 24 and metro are used for all target audience. In the case of local Canadian and immigrant, Vancouver Sun is used. On the other hand, in the case of international student, newspapers of each language are used. And since international student get the information from these papers more clearly than other tools such as television, radio and so on…, it might be the most effective. That’s why it is necessary to be performed for more long times than other audience.

Food magazine; Food magazine can target on the most matching audience. In addition, magazine tends to be kept for a while. It means it is read several times again and again. The target of food magazine is mainly local Canadian and immigrants. Its objective is to support building up brand awareness. So, it is performed at the time of just before launching and launching.

Bill board; Bill board has high exposure. And it can be show long term. Bill board is used for mass-target in order to help other tools to create brand awareness and maintain it. It is started at the same time as the television and radio and continued.

Transit; The feature of transit is highly visible. The message has a limit. However, if message and design is matched and attractive, it can get attention from customers. In this time, Skytrain and truck are used.
· A lot of workers, students and international students use Skytrain. So, it is good way to create brand awareness. In terms of Skytrain, the period when television and radio are not performed, that is, in August, October and December (please look at the Blocking chart page…), it is performed to compensate it.
· When yoshinoya supplies some ingredient and other something, if own truck with exterior panel is used, it is more effective for promotion. Moreover, cost is quite cheap.

●Sales Promotion
Sales promotions can increase sales in the short term. And also it has influence of repeat buying. For that reason, when its tool is used with advertising, it is more effective. In this time, next tools are selected.

Brochure; Brochure is mainly used for international student. It is posted in ESL school, a studying abroad agency or a travel agency. It is one of the principal way to create brand identity as well as newspaper. So, it is used at the time same as a newspaper.

Coupon; The function of Coupon is basically to increase sales for short time and to maintain existing customers.
Before launching, its objective is to attract customers to visit our restaurant. So, it is handed out as an insert with newspaper .this is started before one month of launching. And after launching, it is given to customers who visit Yoshinoya to influence repeat buying. And also, we think about one of unique coupon. It is the rainy day coupon. It means that when it is rainy day, customers can get a product at cheaper price by using a coupon. According to database (statistic Canada), there are many rainy days in Vancouver more than other region. So, it is one of feature of Vancouver. In addition, it is good way to maintain sales because sales reduce when it is a rainy day.

Trial; It is the method that is good to attract a customer as well as coupon. Basically, local Canadian doesn’t know about Yoshinoya. So, it is the most effective to make them try to eat a beef bowl and visit there.

●Public Relation
Public relation is credible information for people. So, you can make a good relationship with local people throughout P.R. it is made use of improving brand image and awareness. We are planning to do about opening ceremony and publicity. In terms of opening ceremony, it holds beef bowl competition. Beef bowl competition means that people compare about how much beef bowl you can eat. We have a confidence in getting brand awareness by doing this event. Timing; The strategy is to enter the market with a bang. Since the first Yoshinoya store in Canada is very newsworthy, a heavy spending pattern in the first three months of the launch is recommended. Coming out of nowhere in Canada, Yoshinoya will make an immediate impact in the marketplace. Following the launch period (July) advertising will taper off considerably. Advertising will rebound again after the launch to maintain the existing customers and get the new customers.
Reach/Frequency/Continuity; Since brand awareness and intentions are the immediate objectives, both reach and frequency will be a priority in the launch phase of the campaign. Reach will be stressed throughout the entire year with various media being employed at different times to reach the target market in different ways. Frequency of advertising will be planned to endure message continuity and maximum impact regardless of media being employed at any given time.
Conclusion
Yoshinoya has been succeeding throughout the world. So we have much enough experiences to operate the international branches. And especially in Vancouver, we can follow the theories of USA operations because of the similarity of consumer behavior.
In terms of the promotion, we could know the media habit in Vancouver. So by focusing on the cost effects of this total promotion, we chose the proper promotion tools and implementations. And also we will do outsourcing to collect the proper information and select the most effective way. Even though we have competitors of huge fast-food companies in Vancouver, we can take advantage for them by our unique products and attractive promotion. Our promotion plan must be successful !

I had been in Tokyo for long days, because the cost was too much to return, so I had stayed .
I had only plan in Tokyo, so I was very boring.
I think it that Tokyo is very full of people, so I don’t like.

One day, I went to Harajuku to go to “Forever 21” and piercing studio with Rui.
Rui is my friend, I think him as like my younger brother.
The studio is that I had put on my cartilage of ear in this summer, so it is my favorite, because the studio is very cool and beautiful. I hope it that studio as like it is located in Kumamoto. I had changed my earring that it names “Orbital ring”.
Why do you think it named “Orbital ring”? The reason is that the earring looks like a Planet and the Orbit. This is very cool, but I regret of it, because I feel pain my ear very much.
I’m not crazy, but I think that I want to be cool lady.

Forever 21 was full of ladies, so I was surprised it. The shop was very hot! I wanted to watch slowly but I couldn’t. I think the clothes of Forever 21 that is cute, but cheap. My favorite brand is “GUESS”. “GUESS” is American brand. I had wanted to go to a shop that is “GUESS” in Harajuku, but the shop had shut up few years ago. I was shocked but I had no much money, so it was OK.

I enjoyed shopping at Harajuku, because many brands are located in it. Example, Gap, EXR, ROXY, quick silver, H&M, Forever 21, x girl etc... I want to go shopping Harajuku again when I will have much money enough to buy.
The day after, I went to “Karaoke” with Rui again in Shibuya. The song which was sang by Rui was so crazy, so Rui is very very crazy! He often to shout.
He likes X Japan very much, but he didn’t sing X Japan the day.
There was MILO in the Karaoke. Do you know MILO??
MILO is cocoa. I used to drink MILO when I was young. MILO is very tasty, but the MILO which I drank was very bat in the Karaoke.

Shibuya is very very full of people, so I don’t like. It was difficult for me to walk. I think that Shibuya is young boys and girls city.The city is always bright, and lively all day long. Actually, I don’t like Shibuya, but I want to work Shibuya. The reason is that I will be stimulated many things!

When I was learning Marketing in Canada, I analysed about the school. I'd like to present the school using a report that I wrote.

The marketing problem and its brief situation analysis
Our marketing problem is to find out the way to get students more than now in WTC. So we are going to try to gain it by doing Marketing Research. At first, we tried to realize what situation is at the present.
According to the industry research of CAPLS, 49% of international students in Canada are Asian. As contrasted with them, Latin Americans are just 27%. Half students stay in Canada for 3-12 months, and 23% of them stay less than 3 months. So there is a lot of Asian students in Canada, however, Latin American students are not so many. They are less than a half of Asian students. In addition, we thought that lots of Latin American students have the duration of study which is brief in our experience.
Next we asked WTC’s counselor. She told us about their nationality ratio of students, how to students contact the school, their promotion strategies and their services. In WTC, the most numerous nationality of student is Korean which is 35%; the second one is Japanese which is 25%. Following them, Brazilian is 16%, Mexican and Chinese are 7%. Korean and Japanese are accounting for the majority part. If WTC wants to get more students, it is better to pick out Latin Americans or Chinese as their target on view point of nationality ratio. Well, WTC has several channels as the way to get new students. For example, they have contracted with some agencies as one of the way to get new students or they also have their own website which students can contact them to use. Besides, they join in studying abroad fair. Those channels should be a good opportunities to communicate students and get their needs, so those might be their promotions. Then we knew that there is a difference how to get contact to WTC between Asian students and Latin American. In general, Asian students use an agency, but Latin Americans use website to contact WTC by themselves. So WTC should do different promotion for each kind of channel. And they use WTC’s homestay service. 60-70% of student use this service, but some of them use an agency’s one. And again, according to the industry research of CAPLS, 65% of students use an agency.
Therefore, our Marketing Research problem is how to prompt Latin American students to enroll WTC.

The objective of the marketing research
The language training industry in Canada is really huge, and it is very competitive. There are more than 100 schools in B.C as well. In order to win this market, it is necessary to get more students.
According to our research, the majority of students who come to Canada to study English are from Asia, such as Korea or Japan (49%). The second largest group is Latin people, like Mexican or Brazilian (27%). Please see appendix page 1.
On the other hand, according to the school counselor in WTC, 67% of students are from Asia and 23% of students are from Central or South America. Compared to the rate of international students who come to Canada, the Latin people’s rate in WTC is much lower.
From the information, we found it is more effective to get more Latin students, in order to increase the total students’ number in WTC. So, our survey should be made to know those students’ satisfaction and their interest.

Research methods and basic sampling issues
Our purpose is increasing the number of students in WTC. This is our marketing problem. And we use Secondary Research and Primary Research to turn it into marketing research problem. First, we did Secondary Research because it is easy to get information if you compare it with Primary Research. However, the weakness of Secondary Research is too general. So after finishing searching information by Secondary Research, we used Primary Research to make marketing problem a firm thing.
We used Web and asking WTC’s counselor as Secondary Research. According to CBCA (Canadian Business & Current Affairs) and CAPLS (Canadian Association of Private language school), the national rate of Latin American who come to Canada is around 27%. Each Japanese and Korean is around 22%. And according to the counselor, its rate of Latin American in WTC is around 23%. Japanese is 25%. And Korean is 35%. As a result of this data, WTC might be able to invite more Latin American in the school.
How can WTC draw Latin American into the school? This problem became our new problem by Secondary Research. And at the time, our target should be Latin American. According to WTC’s counselor, there are around 500 students in WTC now. So it means there are around 115 Latin American students in WTC. We need information from them in order to know their trend.
We used in-depth interview and Survey in Primary Research and asked around 3, 4 people in the in-depth interview, and did a questionnaire to around 20% of students in survey. In order to get high quality information as much as possible, it must do it to consider about the time when we should ask them. It is quite difficult and important. Because they enjoy talking with friends, if we interrupt with their conversation and make them annoyed, we would not get high quality information. So we avoided asking them after finishing the class soon, and we asked them carefully. We mainly asked about satisfaction with WTC and how they decided the school in each research. This is because we expected to find information that WTC should improve service or promotion from these questions. And then we will make a decision by using this information.

Research findings and analysis
In order to collect the data of Latin American, our questionnaires were provided to 14 Mexican, which consisted of 4 males and 10 females, and 10 Brazilian, which consisted of 5 males and 5 females. They were handed during lunch time, after 12:20 to get high quality information.

According to the Secondary Research, the majority of international students use agencies when they search the language schools. However, there is one WTC office in Mexico and Brazil. So, in order to know what kinds of source Latin American usually use, first question asked about it.
52% of Latin American students in WTC used agencies when they chose the school. On the other hand, only 13% of students used WTC office, which is the same percentage of students who got the information about WTC from their friends or relatives. The second major source is web site, and 22% of students used it. Please refer to the figure 2.

Those students got the courses, price, location, and home stay service information of WTC from the source. Please see the figure 3. Students picked all their applicable answers in this question.
And in order to find what information we should offer the students, we asked the students which information was the most helpful for them. According to the survey, they seem to need courses and price information of the school. These two were chosen as the most helpful information by 21 people. Location and home stay service information are also important for them. Following them, activity information, such as yoga or travel information, was selected by 2 students. Please see the figure 4.

In order to know their satisfaction with WTC, we asked them to rate each items, which are courses, price, location, facilities, after class activities, homestay service, activities, and national rate.
In terms of courses, location, and homestay service, they seem to be satisfied. Meanwhile, they have the low satisfaction at facilities and activities. About price and after class activities, their satisfaction levels were around 3. Students are satisfied with these items, but there is still some room to be improved.
However, there is a big difference between Mexican and Brazilian. For example, in terms of courses, Brazilian satisfaction level was about 1 point as low as that of Mexican. In addition, even though students seem to be satisfied with location, there is a difference of 1.2 points between them. According to our survey, Brazilian are relatively dissatisfied. Pleases refer to the figure 5.

In order to know their interest in courses, we collected the data of class which they have already taken and they are interested in. According to the research, they seem to be not interested in writing and teaching courses. However, News and Media, TOEFL, and Business courses are popular among Latin American. In terms of Marketing and International Trade courses, most of them have not taken yet, but they are interested in theses courses. Please see the figure 6 and 7.

The New Year's day

Today is New Year’s Day of 2010. My friend and I stayed over at our other friend’s apartment last night to spend the last and first moments of the years with. It was really fun because we hadn’t met for over a half year and were very excited to meet and hang out. We hadn’t met each other after they graduated from the university. Both of my friends moved to Tokyo right after their graduation in March. Since I’s still in university in Kumamoto, we’ve been apart for a long time. I’m in Tokyo over the holidays for an information meeting of the company I’m interested. I’m now junior so I should be starting to look for a job.
Since we drank late last night, we woke up around 12 today. We felt very lazy and sleepy so we spent the most of the afternoon watching TV. Then one of my friends suggested going to a shrine nearby. Around 4 o’clock, we were finally ready to get out of the apartment for the first time today. I didn’t realize that it was cold that much until then. It was freezing but the cold air felt somewhat good on my cheek. That. We walked to the shrine and it only took less than 10 minutes. As we arrived at the shrine we saw a line of people waiting. We went to the end of line and killed time chatting and joking about each other. We were on the line about 15 minutes. I felt happy to feel the New Year’s Day atmosphere all around. It’s very special and makes me happy. After we did the god visiting, we drew a fortune slip. We all picked “kichi”, which is right in the middle of the fortune rank. Drawing a fortune slip is always fun to do on New Year’s Day whatever I pick.
We decided to get some foods for dinner and eat at the apartment. We went to a convenience store on the way and I bought gomoku-don and ice cream. My friends bought gyu-don and cup noodle for each. When we got back to the apartment I felt good because it was warm inside. I took off my coat and immediately started to eat the gomoku-don because I hadn’t had anything since this morning and was starving. It was delicious. After we finished eating, I packed my stuff and went home. I didn’t want to go home but I had to because I’m going to leave Tokyo tomorrow. It was really fun New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. I hope 2010 will be good year for me and my both friends.

His wife, Meryl Burbank is a nurse and his best friend, Marlon is a person refill vending machines. Truman has been passing happy but uneventful days with them. One day, in the morning, big lightning fell down from blue clear sky. He wondered at that. From the day, various strange occurrences broke out around him. The doubts in his mind about around him become larger little by little. In such days, certain event makes his doubts absolute. When he was child, his father died by sea disaster accident, but one day, in the morning, father showed up in his face. He was very surprised, but suddenly, some people took father away, and father has gone. He assured that something is strange.

He has a wife and his life is not bad, but he has had a dream. He couldn’t forget a woman whom he met when they were university student. His dream is going to Fiji to find the woman, Lauren.

In truth, his life has been televised all over the world since he was born. It has been for 30 years. Most of peoples in Sea Heaven are extra, and important persons around him are actors and actresses. Of course his wife and his best friend are as well. In addition, Sea Heaven was a huge location set, same big as the Great Wall of China. He has been lived in fictitious world. Once he knew truth, how will he behave? Go out of Sea Heaven? Or not?

My favorite scene is of course the last scene. In front of a door to outside, I believe that he might be wavered. Inside of Sea Heaven, every thing will go well, but it is feigned world. Outside of there, the world is real, but things won’t go so well as inside. I guess he needed dogged determination. I couldn’t forget his last part “In case I don’t see you, good afternoon, good evening and good night!” and his smile.

This movie makes us think about genuine happiness. Freedom or stabilization. I really recommend the movie for everyone who is feeling stale for life.

One of them were from Vancouver and have had Ajisen Ramen there,so I thought Ajisen is better than another Ramen. Last weekend, I cleaned up my room. When I was cleaning, I found some articles that were witten wehn I was high school student or when I was in language school in Canada.
I would like to introduce one of my article today, actually I'm afraid to show my old writing. This article was written around 6 years ago, when I was high school student. I wrote it to entry for speech contest. There is one interesting thing, the speech contest was held by Kumamoto Gakuen University.

The things that I have learned through music

I belond to the Japanese Drums club at my high school. It is a new club which was started just last year, so we had neither seniors nor alumin to help us. We had to start everything by ourselves. We had so many problems, because nobody knew what was correct. At first, there were no rules in this club, and it was difficult for us to practise together. We even had teammates sometimes arguing. Howrver our earnest desire to make a good permormance tied and united us little by little.
One day, we decided to perform at the opening of the "African Children's Day" which was promoted by UNICEF. At the event, there were many African children and also parents in the hall. Their language and culture were completely different for ours; however, we were going to play a Japanese musical instrument "Taiko Drums" in front of such peoples. Before the performance, I was very nurvous, much more than usual. I was especially worried about whether or not they would like it. Keeping this tension inside, we started to perform in front of the spectators. This tension was likely to come out at any time during the performance; however, I continued to play al the while wishing strongly that I could get across to them with this music. The last hit bellowed in the hall, and after a few moments of silence, we heard their loud applause. With joy and relief, I had no words to speak. It was so impressive. Then we listened to a peeeerformance of JAMBE by African people. JANBE is an instrument from Africa. At first, I was overpowered with the intensity of their playing. But I realized that they had the same desire as us We speak different languages, however, I felt that I talked to them through the music.
The sea, borders, race, religion, language.... There are a lot of visible and invisible barriers between people in this world. I thought it was difficult for us to understand each other, to overcome problems caused by those barriers. I learned that you can communicate with others if you are from different countries, speak different languages, or have different customs in life. Now, I'm going to take linguistics to speak with whomever; to get more advance my knowledge about communication. I will try to be a person who can have real communication with all people, whether they have different language or customs, and I will try to share with them the wonderful experience of communicating through music.

7.11 ~After That~ 02

When I was going back to my home from the izakaya, one of my friend who had already drinking in downtown phoned me. I picked up a taxi and went to downtown.lol There were also two ather my friends. They had started drinking from 21 O'clock, but they were still fine. I also. So, we went to a bar for drink. We spent our time at the bar almost 4 hours untill around 6 O'clock. All of us were university students or graduates, so we talked about school life a lot. After we left the bar, while giong back to home I fell asleep. When I woke up, our car was running on high way for Fukuoka. I could not believe what was going on there. One of my friends, a driver, rememberd that he used to go to Fukuoka to eat Ra-men after drinking when he was university student. And decided to go to Fukuoka while we were sleeping. Finally, we went to a Ra-men restaurant, but actually I was not hungry. It was delicious....maybe, but I would have liked to eat it when I was hungry....

When I got my home, it was around 10 O'clock. The day was very long long day for me.

After I arrived my home from Aso, one of my friend phoned me and we went out for drink. Both of us are living in Kengun, so we went to a izakaya in Kengun. I believe my limiter was broken at the time, on socond thought. Anyway, who I was together the day was Miccyan. Miccyan is my ex team mate of Japanese drums club as high school's club activity. He was president of the club and I was vice president, so we had a good time talking about old days at there. I forgot taking some photos there with him, that is only one regret on the day.

July 11th, The day had been planned to go to the sea, but the day's weather was raining very hard, plus a organizer of the day had cut his achilles tendon by accident while plaing soccer. So a organizer have changed the plan to having BBQ at garage of his house. The plan was not bad, bat there was only one matter.... The matter was his house was in Aso. It was very far from here!! I left my home at 9 O'clock, pick up one of my friend at downtown and pick up another friend at Toroku, then left Kumamoto city for Aso. While driving for Aso, it rained cats and dogs. To add to lack of my sleeping time, it raind very hard and the rain tied up traffic. I wes really scared.

Around 11 O'clock, we arrived a orgnizer's home, at there his dog welcomed us.lol

After all of members assembled, we went to shopping for groceries. At long last, we started BBQ party at around 13 O'clock. It was raining, but we had a very nice time. We could have new friends there also.

Before 18 O'clock, we started cleaned up and dismissed around 19 O'clock.

Some days ago, I met Tama-chan. Tama-chan has been my friend since when we were 19 years old. Our first meeting was in night club. We started to work there at the same month by chance, and we were same age, we became friend very soon. Since then, 5 years have passed, we are still good friend. I guess one of reason of that is our similor thought. Forexample, I believe both of us are very progressive, espesially in international comunication scene. We like having friends who were from some forign countries. We are interested in some another cultures. Also, I have been to Canada for studying abroad for one year, and Tama has been to Australia for two years for studying abroad and working holiday, we have kind of same experience, so we are really compatible.

On that day, we went to Hikarino-mori shopping mall for shopping first. Both of us had birthday in last month, so that day's purpose was buying and presenting something each other. We wached many shops, but we could not find a thing we really want. I don't know why, finally we bought bear strap for cell phone and exchange each other.lol

After that, we left there for Aso Daikanboh, but a fog lay all around, so we could not arrived at observatory.

Ouchi Cafe

Last weekend, I went to Ouchi Cafe at the back of our school. I went there for the first time. Though it has been there for several years, I have never known the existence of the cafe. That day, I was guided by Mai, Karin and Haruka.

Inside of the cafe was not so large and daily lunch menu was only three kinds, but all of dishes was very nice, voluminous and delicious. I had Taco-rice with a lot of vegetables. Soup and relish were affiliated with main dish. After finish, we orderd a custard pudding with vanila ice cream paiyng additional charge.

I would like to try Franch toast next time.

Coffee please

I used to dislike coffee. Tast and its aromatic smell were also making me kind of sick. However, while I was in Vancouver, I was vancouverised. Most of Canadian likes coffee, and there were a lot of coffee shop all over the town, STARBUCKS, BLENZ COFFEE, Tim Hortons, etc. At first, there were annoying for me, but many of my friends drinkd coffee almost everyday, so I tried to be able to drink a coffee. I tried to started with Moca, a sweet one. That was ok for me, it was almost same as cocoa. Then I became coffee lover bit by bit. Now, the best for me is black coffee, but sometime I would like to have some sweet one. In such a moment I go to "One Drop",a restaurant and order Vietnamese coffee. The coffee there is very nice. If you have any opportunity, please try it!!

Sri Lanka night

Few weeks ago, I went to Sri Lankan restaurant with YU-san. YU-san is a kind of dealer. I met him at Gyu-Kaku when I was working there. Same as me, he has been to Vancouver Canada when he was university student, so we became friend.

Sri Lankan restaurant is on Shiromicyo-St. close to the place where was Gyu-Kaku. We use to talk about the restaurant and planed to go to there on dinner time. Because YU-san had to been there on lunch time, and I also. Lunch time is also not bad, but we would have liked to have more spicy one than nomal Sri Lankan curry....with beer. lol

We went there on week end, so there was very overcrowded. After we took our seet, we orderd beer first, and chose couple dishes that lookd spicy. Some of them were very very spicy, be careful when you go there and choose dishes. And be careful of Stout beer!!

The day before my birthday, my ex coworkers hold a party for me. We went to "Ishihara", our familiar izakaya. It was started around 21 o'clock, because I wated to get a moment that I become 24 years old with them.
At the time, past 0 o'clock, one of the member, Hide brought a cake and presented a rose for me. I was really glad. Thank you Hide!!
On the very day of birthday, I spent a time at home with my family as I wrote before. My mother had prepared wonderful dinner and my father had prepared a cake. Ithink it is very blessed thing, even I became any age.
On the same day, I recieved a parcel that was from my best friend. The incide was some prsents, photo of the friend and her family and a letter. I reassured that a best friend is a best friend, even don't reach each other often. Thank you very much my friend!! And thanks a lot my friends who sent a message, a email or a letter for me.

My treasure is ex coworkers whom I met in Gyu-kaku. I worked in Gyu-kaku for about ６ years until April of this year.
In April, 2007, I left Gyu-kaku once to go studying abroad in Canada for a year.　In March, 2008, I came back to Japan and my boss phoned me out of the blue, and suggested that I come back to the restaurant. I was really glad.
With coworkers, I have had a lot of meetings for the restaurant, have gone out for drink after working and have hung out many times. We became just like best friends!!
I believe that was last summer. Our boss announced the restaurant is closing to us. Until April of this year, we made every possible effort. We are in each different place now, but they are my very precious treasure forever. I really would like to meet them again.

Kumamoto charm

In Kumamoto, we have Kumamoto castle. The castle was built by Kiyomasa Katoh. The castle is almost 400 years old, so Kumamoto city was holding kind of festival until last March. Last March, Honmaru palace has restored and a lot of castle fans and tourist visited the castle. Also I visited there. Especially, "shokun-no-ma", a room of shokun was very beautiful!! If you have not visit there, I really recommend going there and seeing them.
On east of Kumamoto, there is "Aso-san", Mount Aso. Mount Aso is still active volcano, and there is big caldera. Therefore, there are lots of hot springs and leisure spots. For example, Cuddly Dominion, there is a famous chimpanzee “Pan-kun” and his partner “James”, a bull dog. And Aso Firm Land, Daikanboh, Kusasenri etc. If you go there, you can enjoy hiking, horse riding, and so on. Aso is one of symbol of Kumamoto.
Kumamoto’s nature is not only mountain. On southwest of Kumamoto, there is Amakusa. There is sea and a lot of beautiful beaches. In summer, lots of families, high school students and young people go there and enjoy summer. The best beach for me is Mogushi. I really recommend there.
In the end, my favorite place in Kumamoto is Downtown. Kumamoto’s Downtown has big arcade. Lately, the arcade has been renewed. I believe young people in Kumamoto are very fashionable. Many people go out for shopping there. I also one of them.

Through reading this book, the most interesting thing was changing a denomination of group, depends on what animals they are.

A group of wildebeest or dugong etc. is called a herd. A group of meerkats or kangaroo etc. is called mob. A group of birds is called a flock. A group of fish is called a school. A group of bees is called a swarm.

I have never known that a denomination of group is changing. This book was very useful for me.

Last saturday, I went to "Kumamoto kenritu gekijyou" Kumamoto prefectural theater. There was holded "so-bun" a culture festival of Kumamoto by high school students. When I was high school student, I useto belong to Japanese drums club. We are the first member of the club, founder. This year, our junior members took part in the festival, so we had been invited to the festival by a staff adviser to the club.

Their performance was of course very good. Because, they had topped of all japanese high school students last year. I'm really proud of them.

Hello, how do you do? I will stay with your family for 6 weeks this summer as my university’s home stay program. Before we meet, I would like to introduce myself and ask you some things.
My name is Ayumi O, and I’m 23 years old. I’m from Kumamoto, Japan. Kumamoto is on Kyushu island, located in the south of Japan. As I said already, I am a senior grade university student in Kumamoto. I used to belong to the newspaper club, but I’ve not really written any newspapers, so please don’t ask how to write or make newspaper. I like shopping, traveling, photography, watching movies, eating out, drinking, web-surfing, going for a drive, dancing salsa and a lot of other things!! What do you like? Please let me know, if you have any special hobby. I would like to do something with you .
Let me introduce my family also. My father is 53 years old. He is working for his brother’s company. My mother is 50 years old. She is also working for the company with my father. I have a younger brother, he is 21 years old. He has more experience in life than me, because I’m still a student, but he has already finished school and started working. I’ll bring some photos of them.
I’m going to have to depend on you for a lot of things once I get to stay with you, since everything in your country is new to me, but I’m looking forward to it. I hope you will enjoy having me there. See you soon.

My treasure is ex coworkers whom I met in Gyu-kaku. I worked in Gyu-kaku for about 4 years until April of this year.

I met a lot of people and parted while the period. Finally I made sure of the last of the restaurant with splendid friends.

In April, 2007, I left Gyu-kaku once to go studying abroad in Canada for a year. For the one year, I spent a time as a student in Canada and was separated from working. In March, 2008, I came back to Japan and looked for a new part-time job. Because I quit the restaurant as liberty, I thought that was impossible to go back there anymore. However, my boss phoned me out of the blue, and suggested that I come back to the restaurant

I was really glad. I could go back to my favorite place!! Actually, there was some serious thing at the beginning, because I have had blank of one year, most of coworkers whom I know had already gone. I felt a kind of gap, but it was very short time. Since then, we have had meetings for the restaurant, have gone out for drink after working and have hung out many times. We became just like best friends!!

I believe that was last summer. Our boss announced the restaurant is closing to us. I could not believe that. I remember I was crying, but it was already decided matter.Until April of this year, we made every possible effort. We are scattered now, but friends whom I met there is my very precious treasure forever. I really really would like to meet them again.

Golden Week

Before GW, I have had a cold. So I was absent some of class also. Few days later, I was getting better.

What I did first in GW was cleaning up my room. That was promise with my mom. For cleaning up my room, I took almost a day.

Next day, I visited hospitals to see my grand father and grand mother. I couldn't had been there long time, GW was nice opportunity for that. That day's night, I spent a time at home with my family and my parent's friends. Actually, I don't really knew them, but talking with older people was very interesting for me.

Lions!

"Zac, look, there's lion!" shouted Thomas.
The boys enjoyed their trip to see the lions, untill there was a problem
with the truck.
Then, the lions disappeared...

Zac and Thomas were very excited.Because they were looking lions from crose. They were thinking "the inside of truck is safe" untill the truck had problem.
